Backing
Backing means selecting an outcome you think will happen. Check the displayed price and market rules before confirming.
Laying
Laying means taking the other side of an outcome. If the selected outcome happens, you may have to pay the other side according to the market terms.
Check liability first
Liability is the amount at risk on a lay selection. It can differ from the amount entered as the stake. Always review the full liability shown on screen before submitting.
